If your contacts are in an Excel Spreadsheet, before importing those contacts, your must first convert your Excel spreadsheet into a .CSV format. 

A .CSV is a Comma Separated Values file, which allows data to be saved in a table structured format.

From the Contacts navigation pane on the left of your screen, click on "Import".



You can either drag 'n' drop your file to upload, or click on the words "Drop files" to choose a file from your computer.



If you're an Admin, you can select an Owner (user) for the imported contacts. If you're a standard user such as a sales rep, the contacts will be automatically assigned to you as the owner.


As your .CSV file is uploading, BuzzBuilder will match each field to the corresponding field in your spreadsheet. 

NOTE: the only field you MUST have in your spreadsheet is an Email Address. 

Additional fields that can be added include: First Name, Last Name, Company, Title, Phone Number, Mobile Phone, Fax, Address, City, Industry, Lead Source.




For fields you don't wish to import (such as a Fax number) you can leave the drop-down box selection to "None" and these fields will be ignored.


Click the Next button and your contacts will be imported. Afterwards, you'll see a report which shows you the total number of contacts that have been imported, the number of contacts that were duplicates already in the database, and any contacts that did not have a correctly formatted email address.
